Eren goes still. “Yeah,” is what he lands on. “I won’t.” Another silence. “Sorry,” he adds.
Mikasa’s throat feels tight. “He said, I…” She swallows. Her hands tremble. “He said I was your…courtesan. That’s a whore, Eren.” She looks up at him. “Is that what I am? Is that what you’re telling people?”
