Summary
You are completely invisible. For over three years not a single soul on Earth has seen you. The life you once had is gone, washed away in the tide of the world that moves on around you. Nothing you do can change anything, no one can hear you speak, even when you shout. Your hands cannot touch a single object unless there are absolutely no eyes on it. After watching all of your worldly possessions get sold off to strangers you've become a nomad, drifting down interstate highways in the backseats of cars that have room for you to go unnoticed.
In a world full of people who haven't been able to see or sense you for years, on a day like any other that you've lived alone while trapped amongst humanity, one person sees you meandering around the crime scene he's just walked in to investigate. Sam's sickly, and tired, and he doesn't trust his eyes or mind— he's been known to hallucinate people before. But he can't help feeling like you're too real to be a figment of his imagination.
And if you're a real person, whom only he can see, isn't it his responsibility to help free you?
