Summary
A chance encounter between Jeralt Eisner and Tiana von Riegan at a nameless crossroad in Leicester changes the fate of Fódlan and beyond when Tiana convinces Jeralt to join her in traveling east. Their children grow up together in the Almyran court, companions and friends despite the machinations surrounding them.
The cosmos of her heart swirls into colors unknown, and she’s vaguely aware of how the physical affects the movement of the stars. It’s all out of order, and yet she can’t be bothered to arrange it the way the physical world does. A woman cradles her. Her body rocks in time with wheels. A boy with blood unattached to any other threads of life whispers under his breath. A star who has forgotten how to be one pours light into her. A man with threads of stardust thrumming under his skin pulls her from a river.
Then, something shines, brighter than the rest; it comes from the heartbeat she’s taken in lieu of her lack, the one she first learned before he had even left the womb. Undistilled love, taking physical form in a stolen kiss, tears that are not her own on her cheeks. It falls right to the center of the nebula, the brightest light in this heart of a star.

Summary
