Summary

Jinx was the exact opposite. She was chaos incarnate. She loved blowing things up just for fun, scribbling neon graffiti on lockers and doodling nonsense across chalkboards.
And yet, whenever she wanted, she could outsmart everyone around her, usually with a smirk that drove Ekko crazy.

“Powder...?”
A voice, a familiar one, it sounded worried, panicked even. Just who was it, it felt real, it wasn’t a hallucination. She forces herself to unfurl and look up. Puffy white hair, those deep brown eyes meeting hers.
“Ekko.?”
Her voice sounds shrivelled, small. Weak. Tainted by the tears she was choking out.
“Ekko!!”
The distance between them is quickly diminished as she leaps onto him, desperate to make sure he wouldn’t leave her like she did. She presses her face into his chest, clutching even tighter to him, she couldn’t let him go. She wouldn’t.Or:

"On the off-chance it WAS her, that she was alive, he’d have a chance to see if he could ever know Jinx like he knew Powder. If it wasn’t, he’d take it as confirmation that she was gone. He never saw the moment she fell; he never got to speak to her after the fight. He felt like maybe this was the closure he needed, the solo trip he had to take to move forward.
