Instead, she sees candles lit in every corner of the room. Soft music pipes in from somewhere she cannot see. Regina is nowhere to be found.

Emma squirms to try and get out of her chair, but it is no use. She isn’t even sure it is magic that is keeping her there as much as the look on Regina’s face right now. “Whahahat are you even doing here?”
“It’s Tuesday. We always have lunch on Tuesday.”
“Oh yeah.” Emma takes a breath, then slowly maneuvers her way to her feet, noting with relief that it does not appear as though anything was actually holding her back. “Sorry, let me just grab my bag.” She turns to move away from her desk, but Regina is now standing directly behind her and she is once again trapped; this time between the desk and her girlfriend.
“Emmmmmaaaa,” Regina singsongs.
“Uh, yeah?”
She leans in to blow softly in Emma’s ear. “You’re changing the subject.”

“She is, though. I just have a mental block against potions.”
“Exactly. So I am asking, what do you think that mental block is? Are you distracted by the doe eyes and low cut shirts?”
“Zelena!” Emma blushes furiously and shakes her head in denial, even though the witch is not entirely off base. She is distracted by Regina but not in the way Zelena assumes. She simply wants to impress her and the amount of pressure she feels not to make a mistake somehow always leads to her messing up.

Her curls tumble carelessly down her back and in that moment, Regina wants nothing more than to reach out and tug them.
