Summary
Kakashi always figured he’d be unlikely to reach 30. Bleeding out in the remote mountains of Fire country, he can’t help but find a little amusement in dying just a week short of the mark.
And then he awakens, still quite alive, in the home of a man who claims to be a local civilian.
...Iruka might have a little too much sympathy for wounded strays.

Summary
Kakashi has captained hundreds of missions over the past decade. One random chuunin beneath his command getting injured shouldn’t prompt more passing concern than any of the other casualties he’s witnessed.
And yet, something keeps him in his orbit.

Summary
The scarred ninja sighed. "You couldn't have brought them by earlier?"
"No," Asuma-sensei said, and he was still smiling, "I wanted them to get the full Umino experience."
Ino shot a look to her left: Shikamaru's eyes were open wider than their usual droop. What the hell was the Umino experience, those eyes seemed to say.

Summary
“Robin?” Tim looked over at the sound of his name, to the bedraggled girl next to him. She couldn’t have been more than twelve. Tim was–failing her. “Are you here to save us?”
Tim’s heart clenched in his chest. He was here, chained up with the rest of the omegas, but he couldn’t tell her no. He couldn’t say he was just as trapped as she was, that the chains were as tight around his wrists as they were around hers.
“Yes,” Tim told her, his voice soft. “I am. Hold on, just a little longer.” He just had to–hold on a little longer. Keep trying.
Tim started his time as Robin with pretty deliberately and specifically not listening to Batman, and this was just more of that. Why mess with a good thing? Of course, he hadn't even messed up quite this bad before. It was almost funny how bad this one night had gone, but once Robin's leash got handed to Hood, nothing was very funny at all.
