Deep in the black site known as the Garreg Mach Institute, Site director Rhea Seiros oversees the collection and study of the anomalies that fall under her area of expertise, namely objects related to very specific entity. And their most recent acquisition might be the missing link she has been searching for all these years.
She will not let this chance slip her grasp, no matter what methods she needs to use, or whether or not this link wants to remain under her watch or not. After all a subject, once it has been designated it's status as an anomaly, is no longer a person with rights. They are a a series of numbers in the system.

Summary

Nabatean's have struggled with these urges since the age of Sothis, but have learned and taught the ways to rise above them and suppress their instincts. Byleth Eisner was never taught these lessons.
