  Summary

  He felt dizzy; he had just failed the one person who seemed to love him for who he truly was. And for what? Because he was scared? Will braced himself against the counter, staring intently at the wall across him. He needed to lie down. Hell, he wouldn’t mind giving alcohol a second chance if it meant getting him out of the headspace he was in. He needed something, anything, to ground him.

  He wasn’t entirely sure how it happened, but he found himself walking towards the phone mounted next to the stove. His hand hesitated over the dial for barely a second before entering the number.

  Maybe he wasn't in the best state to make a call, but all he wanted in that moment was to hear someone’s voice; hear someone tell him it was going to be okay. To know it wasn’t his fault, even if that wasn’t true. Of course, only one person had ever fit that description;

  Mike stayed at the table for hours, his chin rested on his knee as he thought. He thought of his friends, of his siblings, of Joyce, and of how he missed seeing Will everyday. He wished for the closeness they used to have. And in those delicate morning moments Mike would’ve done anything for Will to be next to him and not hours away.
