She headbutted my leg and nuzzled her face against me. "However, also unlike you I've never had a romantic partner fool around behind my back, so I suppose I can see why you have such an issue trusting others."

Summary
Due to Prepotente's actions on Floor 7. Borant Corporation is way ahead of schedule, which doesn't sit right with the participants of the Faction Wars on the Floor 9. Strings are pulled; action lawsuits are filed. To appease everybody, Borant introduces a special three-day episode, where they pluck several crawlers out of the dungeon and drop them on an island with a goal of saving the ones they hold most dear. Carl knows who exactly the people most dear to him are. He just underestimates his feelings for one of them in particular.
