Summary
The Hemlockes are a prestigious, rich family who have a high reputation and expect only the best from anyone should they live in Whitepine. When an upsetting murder takes place right inside the walls of the Hemlockes’ house, everyone is left shook and distraught. Amidst the horror of the discovery, the last thing anyone should be worrying about is betrayals within the Hemlocke family. They shouldn’t expect the worst from their own family at dark times like these, yet, one of the servants discovers that PrinceZam had been visited regularly by some random civilian—and not only that, but it was another boy. And most certainly, finding that out is the last thing the Hemlocke family needs at a time like this.

Serapter catches Zam and Wemmbu, but he decides not to tell, at least not while the family was struggling with the death of one of their maids.

Summary
PrinceZam stood in front of the destructed and destroyed ruins of what once used to be a strong and prosperous empire, and which he had called his home. His entire empire had been reduced to nothing but rubble, and he had built it all himself. Hours of relentless work to construct it, gone to the power of Wemmbu’s Orbital Strike cannon. It was no longer a home, but a memory of what was. A memory of what Zam had accomplished solely by determination. Not only that, but it was also a reminder of how power can change people. During his time in prison, Zam was finally able to see clearly, and he realised what the empire had done to him. Because of this, a part of him was fine with it being gone. Surely, he should be mad at Wemmbu. But perhaps it just isn’t worth his time anymore.

Zam returns to his obliterated empire and realises he should start again.
