There was an ear-splitting cacophony of noise from the other end of the phone receiver. Noise which sounded suspiciously like…
“Heeeey, Ben.”
A nightclub. Or a bar. Or one of the other numerous establishments that Tony’s less-than-legal age shouldn’t allow him to get within 10 feet of, much less inside. Much less drunk. And he definitely sounded drunk.
“Hello, Tony. How are you?”
“I don’ know. How’m I doin’, happy man?”
A background voice could just barely be heard over the din. “You’re drunk.”

Or, in the middle of the night, Tony drunk calls Ben from a club. It's… not good.

Aizawa sat at the conference table. It took every bone in his body to keep his emotions in tack. It didn't help that his student was screaming his name so loudly, the audio cracked through the projection screen, or that All Might was six seconds from breaking down next to him. Aizawa envied the man's ability to openly show his emotions. He could easily do the same, but not here. Not with All Might secretly thanking him for not breaking composure. Not with his student dying on camera in front of them.
Not when Midoriya Izuku was so close, yet so far.
