Summary
This story is a modern political alternate universe in which Vincent Whittman is a conservative politician elected into office as a legacy candidate following his father. A gruesome murder occurs in New Orleans that catches the attention of a cozy true crime podcaster Alastor Dupré, who actively blames the murder on Whittman and his team.
