In a particularly harsh winter in 12, Katniss is once again finding that she is tied to Peeta Mellark, that he can bring her a sense of hope without even meaning to. When she winds up working in his family's bakery, she doesn't want to get to know him, doesn't want to add to the incalculable debt she feels she owes him. But she can't help but grow to appreciate him, even despite herself.

Summary
Panem is slowly healing after the rebellion. Katniss goes from district to district, looking forwork. Nothing keeps her in 7, her family died, and she has no friends. The only job that is offered is housekeeping for Peeta Mellark, the last Victor who barely leaves his huge house.
The loneliest people in the whole Panem. A chance meeting. A relationship that seems to have no chance of working. But it happens anyway.
I was so happy and proud of that story when I wrote and posted it a year ago. But then, I decided on two wrong turns and couldn't really finish it. So, now it gets back, rewritten.
