Richard has two weeks to hold himself together before Gavin arrives. Two weeks to finish his commission, pay his rent, and pretend his painting hand isn't dying. Two weeks to hide that he's starving, that he's been evicted, that he's sleeping in doorways in subzero temperatures. Two weeks to keep lying to the man he loves.
He doesn't make it two weeks.
When Gavin's plane touches down in Detroit, Richard is already frozen solid on a park bench in Grand Circus Park. And Gavin; Gavin can't live in a world where Richard doesn't exist.
