The spirit inhabiting his body brays for blood, and he is almost helpless to resist it, even as it shifts him into something horrifying and unrecognizable. He's not a monster, honest.
And Momo Ayase was a just college student in desperate need of a cup of coffee, damn it. But then some aliens showed up and now she's late for class and somehow responsible for this huge, nervous creature just because she has psychic powers. Well... at least she got a paycheck out of it. And he's not so bad most of the time.

25 year old Ayase Momo had been working for Alterra for a while— albeit reluctantly— before she had managed to weasel her way onto the Aurora to try and get some answers about her missing childhood friend. What she hadn’t accounted for, though, was getting stranded on an uncharted ocean planet and somehow ending up with a weirdly sentient leviathan as her guard dog. At least she has some company while she tries to get off this cursed planet.
Or, what if Momo and Okarun were in the Subnautica universe? What if Momo took the unfortunate protagonist’s place, and Okarun was a poor soul implanted into a reaper’s body?
This is meant to be friendly to non-Subnautica fans!
