Summary
Namping had loved Keng since that one summer afternoon during his freshman year. Keng stood under the glaring campus lights, crowned as the university’s hottest. Namping heart skipping despite the soft reminder of his mother’s words:
“Don’t fall in love, Namping. Your heart isn’t strong enough.”
For two years, he chased Keng with the desperate devotion of someone who didn’t know how to give up. Even as Keng dated others, Namping remained. Always returning and hoping. Each breakup rekindled his foolish courage; each new relationship crushed him again.
What Keng didn't know was his heart condition.
Until the third heartbreak, and this time, it was worse. Keng had chosen someone else again.
The world blurred. His chest tightened, vision dimming as he tried to smile through the pain. But there was no next time, no more chances to chase. His knees gave out before he could take another breath.
When they found him, he was already still.Namping died at twenty-one, heartbroken beyond repair.
But when he opened his eyes again… he was back at the start, before everything began.
