Summary
When her husband died Joy thought her love life was over, despite his wishes that she move on. She was sure she would never love again, she was far too busy raising Adamska while being the Chief of Police after all. Then she met Dr Strangelove, a woman with her own burdens and her own son running from an abusive marriage who didn't fill the whole Alik left but made her own space beside it.
After witnessing the death of his father, Adam shut down. He focused on his studies and little else, intent on becoming a police psychiatrist to avoid tragedies like what happened to his father happening again. So when his mother started dating, he hadn't expected a woman not much older than him with a ten year old son and he certainly hadn't expected them to pull him and his mother out of the depression they'd been stuck in for years. When they got engaged? He had expected that, he'd already been calling Hal his brother for a year by that point.
When Detective John Doe and his fresh out of the academy son David Doe move to town, the brothers find love of their own but can it last when the past is always waiting to come back- Words:
