It was Xue Shu’s desire to get rid of a perceived rival that led her to her current predicament. Sitting in the bridal chambers of the Xie manor, with a coronet that was digging into her forehead (her mother had insisted on lavishness to shush any whispers that this wedding might have occurred because of improprieties), waiting for Xie Wei.
Waiting for Xie Wei to do what, she does not know. Consummate the marriage, she suppose. Not that he showed any carnal interest in her in their previous life. Not even when she all but offered herself on a platter.
