Being woken up by your dead brother in the year 1982 is bad enough on its own, but it's made even worse when whatever force that sent you back in time didn't give you "almost functioning human" privileges. Rude. (Or: Time Travel Fix-It but nothing is taken seriously.)

I think the only thing that hasn’t changed is how we all still terribly miss you."
After the death of Michael's mother, he wrote letters to her that detailed his life. At least, they detailed most of it, as some of it was simply too painful for him to put into words.
