The day feels like any other. Sunlight slips through the windowsill, casting warm golden patches across the floorboards. Onyx sits cross‑legged on his bed, scrolling through his phone like any other teenager killing time.
He stays like that for hours before realizing how unproductive it is. With a sigh, he switches off his phone and tosses it onto the bedside table. Then he falls backward onto the mattress, staring up at the ceiling as if it might offer him something—an idea, a distraction, anything.
As he deliberates, a familiar melody unexpectedly fills the room, distracting him and making it difficult to identify its source. The music gradually intensifies, prompting Onyx to search for where it originates, while the room grows increasingly illuminated. Shielding his eyes from the brightness, he notices that the music has abruptly ceased, and the room has become completely silent, as though time itself has stopped.
A strange hush fills the room, heavy and unfamiliar, as he struggles to recall how he arrived in this place.
