Summary
Esmeralda (OC) and Leona (OC) grew up on Padres del Fuego together, sailing the bay and enjoying childhood together. One day, Leona decides to take off and leave Padres Del Fuego for good and set sail on a real ship. When she decides to leave, Leona can't find her friend Esmeralda and looks for her only to discover she'd gotten married and moved to the other side of the island! Leona offers Esmeralda a chance to leave the island, but Esmeralda in her fear refuses. She writes letters to Leona every month for three years - and they tell the story of her life married to a husband she does not love.
