Martin doesn't know whether he can be the man he was before he succumbed to his loneliness. He's been marked by a life consumed by it. He has loved Jon for far too long, and is determined to let it mean something.
Jon is cautious and unsure of how to communicate his own love, but gives it freely in the way he knows how. Falling into a routine where they can pretend for just awhile that they belong to nothing but each other.
