While sorting out Unity’s estate in London, Rose finds herself idling and signs up for some short creative writing courses at the University of London. She had concepts for her book after all of her experiences but it wouldn’t hurt to learn the more about the craft as she put pen to paper. Plus who knows, she might make some friends who haven't been scarred by a serial killer and a not-really god.
But that doesn’t explain why she is so drawn towards the Books in the Medieval and Early Modern Periods lecturer.

Summary
After escaping from Wych Cross, Dream turns into a cat and retreats into his own mind from the trauma, forgetting he’s not an actual cat, and ends up living on the streets as a stray, finding his way to the temple his friend has unknowingly built for him. Hob finds and adopts a miserable starved stray, not knowing it's actually his missing friend.
