Summary
This, Kanae admits to himself, is a place where any of their secrets can be kept beneath the water’s surface if they never want to talk about it again.
He supposes his bravery comes from that thought alone—the sickeningly selfish desire.
He’ll later blame the dizzying heat for his recklessness, but he takes the responsibility into his own hands again. Because he knows it better than anyone: if Kanae doesn’t push, Kuzuha won’t pull, and they’ll circle this empty space forever.
Love, as it exists under the fragile surface.
