    “Owens, well…” A deep breath. “He married us.”

    His head shot up. His eyes briefly flickered wide. His lips wordlessly parted. God, she wanted to sink into the fiery ash of a gaping monstrous gate to the Upside Down.

    “He… what?” he squeaked.

    She shrugged, trying to play it cool, nonchalant, but she drifted outside of her body for a moment and could hear the utter absurdity of it.
