Aubrey always felt alone. Isolated. Even if she had friends who cared for her very much, she could never be truly sure if they all truly loved her the same way she loved them.
But when a single action by her father turned her whole life upside down she was hurt in a way no one else understood. There she was depending on others again and again and never giving anything back... She hated that. She hated herself.

Summary
It's been five years since Mari survived the “incident.” Sunny hasn't seen her since then, and for the most part, has managed to get through the following years without more trouble. He used to wonder what she would do at the college she left him for, but those thoughts faded over time. As the group prepares to enter college, they investigate what became of the member they left behind, and it all comes to a head when Faraway High holds its annual paintball festival.
