Summary
It’s the final mission and everything has gone askew. Will and Mike are left alone in the church in the upside down waiting for the others who they know won’t come. The world is ending, but something else is very, very wrong.
Like the dilapidated church walls surrounding the two, Mike’s face was cracking, his perfect practiced stoic facade slipping away with every second that passed.
Not to the sweet, brave face Will once knew, though. Not the one he had fallen in love with all those years ago. But something much, much scarier. Rawer.
