“We should kiss!”
Choso was halfway through taking another bite of pizza, but he immediately retracted to look at Yuki. “What?”
“We should kiss. So we can see if it’s nice or not,” she explained matter-of-factly.
Choso shook his head slowly, even though the suggestion made him blush. “We’re friends. You’re supposed to kiss your boyfriend or girlfriend, not your friend.”
Yuki scoffed. “Boyfriend? You are a boy who is my friend, what’s the difference?”
“There are a lot of differences.”
Choso and Yuki meet when they are seven, and they become best friends. They grow up together, and, at some point, the feelings that Choso has for Yuki become… not very best friend-like. As life brings them together and pushes them apart, Choso will always know that Yuki will forever be his first love—and perhaps his only love.
