"There was a sudden jolt as the elevator came to a stand still, pulling Roman out of his thoughts. The force of the movement causing Gerri to slam into Roman’s side. Out of instinct, he put his arms out to steady her, grabbing her by the shoulders, worried that she’d fall over and possibly hurt herself.
They hadn’t reached the ground floor, or any floor in fact. The doors hadn’t opened. They were stuck."
