Summary
Loosely based on the 2009 hit, The Proposal, starring Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds. The Proposal is one of my favorite movies and whenever I watch, I can't help but think of Kabby. This is my own unique spin! :)
Abby Griffin is a 37 year old Executive Assistant in New York City. She moved from her hometown in Alaska with her fiance, Jake, right after college with the hope of one day becoming an Editor. Now, 15 years later and divorced, Abby finds herself as the Executive Assistant to Marcus Kane, a cold, pragmatic man who has made her professional life miserable for the last 3 years. When Canadian Marcus is informed that he is being deported, he announces to their boss that he and his beautiful assistant are engaged to be married.
With the risk of hefty fines and federal prison, will Abby go along with the sham marriage? And what happens along the way as Marcus and Abby are thrust together, visiting her hometown of Sitka, AL and spending quality time together with Abby's confused family?

Summary
Abby Griffin is a 38 year old divorcee, doing her best to raise her 14 year old daughter, Clarke, after her husband left her for another woman. She's also a respected ER doctor at Buffalo General Hospital and she genuinely loves it. Not only did it mean she was able to stay in her hometown, but she had also formed several long lasting friendships with her colleagues. The only negative to working at Buff General is the hospital’s CEO, Marcus Kane. Since the day he started 5 years ago, he and Abby have constantly butted heads over everything from patient care, to insurance, to hospital policy. He is arrogant, cold, and completely black and white, insisting on following the letter of the law at all times. It's clear that sentiment and empathy are two emotions he is devoid of. To make matters worse, it irritates Abby that the man has no medical background. Sure, he earned his MBA from Stanford, but he's not a doctor, he's a businessman.

Summary
Based on the film When Harry Met Sally, this story follows the overall plot but the words and most of what happens within the scenes are my own creation.
In 2004, a young Abby gives a youthful Marcus a ride from Chicago to Baltimore where both hope to embark on exciting new lives post University. Abby is training to be a doctor, Marcus dreams of being Governor of Baltimore one day. On the ride, he tells Abby that doctors and politicians can never be lovers or friends because they're too different. Abby isn't so sure, but two days spent in a car with the ambitious young man are perhaps enough to convince her.
We follow them over a number of years, visiting them at crucial points in their lives. Will Marcus be proved right - are they too different to ever be together - or does love find a way no matter what?
