Summary
On October 23rd, 2077, the world ended in nuclear fire. Pockets of humanity survived in great underground vaults, and later emerged from the vaults to rebuild. Others survived through luck. Many clusters of humanity grouped together into gangs or tribes, and some of them lasted for a long time.
On July 5th, 2267, Hank and the gang he belonged to, a tribe called the Great Khans, arrived in the ruins of Vegas. They were near-immediately beset upon by another gang, led by a woman named Amanda. Backed up by three boys of near-identical appearance.
On January 16th, 2280, Amanda’s tribe had long since shed their old trappings and become something new, running a once-abandoned casino for the mysterious new ruler of Vegas. And on this day, Connor found an old enemy(?) passed out in a bar.
Based primarily on Fallout: New Vegas, but should be readable without knowledge of the canon.

Seamless Fallout: New Vegas and Detroit: Become Human universe merge!! Such rare treat! And who knew this combination would fit so well? The author of this knew! Bless them and their genius. And they did really good job writing it too, it's good quality fic. *happy sigh*
Really good if you are fan of both games. I think it's worth the read if F:NV ain't something you are familiar with. Post nuclear-war apocalyptic wasteland is truly a charming setting and good breath of fresh air to the usual DBH setting.
But I'd also recommend playing the New Vegas, even if it's considered "old" game and is somewhat prone to crash, but still it is one of best RPG's ever made today. Its from era when 'rpg" still actually MEANT role-playing-game. Plot of many modern games feels like shallow husk in comparison.

Summary
Gavin Reed is adjusting just fine to the new world order. He's fine. It's fine. His RK is far more useful than he would ever have imagined, and they're closing cases in record time. Also it's better than Hank's plastic partner, so everything and everyone is settling down after the android revolution.
And then the RK900 went and... shot itself in the middle of the bullpen.
But that's just the start. Red Ice, hackers, android trafficking, Cyberlife, New Jericho, and his partner's suicide-- everything is connected and the rot is so deep it might have already taken hold in Gavin himself. After all, why waste his time on a case without a victim?

VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
Feck this is amazing, mature story. MUST READ. Lots of action and intense suspense.
Gavin is actual proper asshole and damn entertaining yet very complex. Which I wholeheartedly approve.
Reese is most memorable iteration from all fandoms many RK900’s in my opinion, but not for reasons one would guess. Again. MUST READ.
