Cal mumbles something and Bode leans over and twists so he can fit his body between Cal and the wall of the bunk, keeping one leg slung over Cal's thigh. "Say again, scrapper," he says, and reaches up to smooth red hair away from even redder cheeks.
Those green eyes are so wide where they stare back at him. Then Cal's lashes sweep closed, and Cal whispers, "I wish you'd call me Padawan. Act like my Master in the Force.”
In which Cal asks Bode to pretend he's a Jedi Master to Cal's Padawan, and Bode has trouble remembering what role he's actually playing.
