Summary
That bright Sunday morning Penelope and Colin Bridgerton were getting ready for weekly tea at Bridgerton House. They were quite late since they've spent all morning in bed. They were on their way out, when Penelope remember she left something upstairs. Colin was patiently waiting on his wife while she was gushing down.
Suddenly, her feet slipped and she practically flew down the stair. Colin couldn't do anything in that slight second between that slip and the moment her head hit the floor with terrifying sound, which sounded as crack of his heart.
Time stood still for Colin, the doctor said there was nothing they could do except for waiting. So that was what he did, waited, and waited, and waited, to finally see her eyes open and see her forgetting everything they ever had.
