A week on, Stuart could come to terms with the fact he’d stared death in the face. That little Dennis Rickman had died on the jetty six feet from where he and Rainie had stood with Mick and Linda. He was an undertaker. This was his job.
But it didn’t change the matter of the fact.
Dennis Rickman Jr. was dead, and Rainie wasn’t coping.
