    There was no flash of light, no truck to the face, no dramatic death. My big, grand plan of getting my college degree and career was supposed to be a neat, carefully written book. But then I missed a step on the stairs, and suddenly, my life was straight out of a fanfiction. It’s still my life, still my family, but now there are Pokémon.
