Summary
At first it was Lucy's suggestion. That's what she said—but Falco, Kiwi, and Rebecca were often hounding David so much that he knew they were all in on it to some extent.
David was aware about Lucy being in touch with the team; rather just Kiwi and sometimes Rebecca although she could be a little too much at times (and she claimed that wasn't true even though everyone called bullshit on that. She was a billion firecrackers in one) and David was rather irritated about their constant comments on his visits to Doc for his implants.
He didn't need a shrink.
After the incident at the lab, the team collectively decides David needs therapy before he makes himself self-destruct.
