Summary
Gem is used to scrubbing blood from her cuticles, but she's not used to the fact that it means something. This is the first time deaths caused by her hand are permanent, have consequences. So when Gem opens the book, and reads the words "You are infected with the Boogeyman curse", she doesn't scream, or cry, or burn the paper until there's nothing but ash. The Syndicate is ready to adopt a new member into their coven. Luckily, Niki knows just the human that would be the perfect fit for their group. Whether Techno actually wants to become a vampire or not is of little importance once the coven decides he's theirs.
