This work is genuinely so freaking cool. Like, it pained me to have to put it down to go sleep. EVERYONE should read it!!
Summary:
Izuku has a quirk that he calls Foresight that basically guides his actions (sometimes). Like, it'll nudge him to get an umbrella when its going to rain, etc. Turns out, this quirk leads him on an extremely elaborate, years long mission to defeating All for One and the League of Villains, all while not being a hero student and in fact dipping into villainy, vigilanteism, and heroism. He meets cool side characters along the way, and even converts Dabi and befriends Shoto (goodish!Dabi my beloved). -

Summary
The second lieutenant of the Shie Hassaikai yakuza group is known to others only as 'the Caretaker.' A rather enigmatic and highly intelligent member of the family, not much is known about him outside of a select circle of trusted friends and, of course, the Shie Hassaikai itself. But to those who know him, the Caretaker is simply this: a young man who cares for his family more than anything else.
Because the Caretaker is one Midoriya Izuku, and he did not start out that way... at first, he was just a babysitter.

A series revolving around an AU I started in my fic, 'more than you hoped to be.' Originally only intended to be one fic, but it somehow sprung up into two! I might also include some other supplementary bits in this series as well, like scrapped scenes or character profiles for some of the characters in the fics, if people are interested in that sort of thing.

I have many gripes with the society and people in this fic (heroes ofc) but its a great fic. very well written and did something I thought wasn't possible - made me love Chisaki and the Shie Hassaikai. amazing

Summary
In a last ditch effort to clean the slate, to erase the apocalypse and downfall of humanity, the last two humans on earth give up even that to go back to the past and prevent the end before Madara can get the ball rolling. Now between scheming to create a better future, lying about their identities, and coping with the knowledge neither really falls neatly into the definition of human anymore, they also have to come to grips with their feelings for one another while finding their place in the past.
Or:
Naruto and Shikamara give up what made them human in the first place to go back in time and gaslight the village into believing they're their own uncles while attempting to make a peaceful future and live normal, or normal adjacent, lives.

I def like the premise, but the tags imply that it devolves into mostly smut, which... I'll give it a try sometime
edit: finally started reading (11.10.25) and got to ch 30. basically Naruto and shikamaru are not all quite human and traveled back in time after the world basically ended bc Kaguya blah blah. They're in love. traumatized, and have codependency issues. They're also super powerful, OP if you will. Naruto kinda fused with Kurama. Shikamaru made a deal with a yokai/shade called Yugure that (it seems) wants to use him as an incubator to birth herself in exchange for giving him stronger shadow powers. im at the pt where Naruto has just found out and theyre telling Tsunade, who is acting as their therapist/psychiatrist. also Shikaku is kinda Shika (Inei) otouto while Minato is that for Naruto (Haruki). Kinda got uninterested after the Yugure plot was revealed bc it feels unearned with the buildup ngl. May revisit to see if she actually is born from Shika and isnt an unlikeable character/doesnt throw off the dynamic between Naru and Shika (already a tenuous, difficult read tbh) and them and other characters. I was more interested in the idea that they would adopt a bunch of orphans, namely characters we actually know (ahem- Sai and his brother) given how unreliable OCs can often be in terms of likability and consistency. oh well.
