Jayce has been trying to make it obvious, really, he has. The extra workouts, the casual flirting, the way he brings Viktor coffee just the way he likes it… Never mind the lace he bought months ago and never wore for anyone. Never mind how often he moans Viktor’s name into his pillow.
But yet, it's as if he's doing nothing. All his advances go unnoticed, and eventually he stops trying.
What Jayce doesn’t know is that Viktor has noticed everything. And he’s tried to stay away, convinced Jayce is straight, or unattainable, or both, until the night he comes home early and finds Jayce alone in bed, wearing something sinful, begging his name.
The door is cracked open, and Viktor is no longer sure he can pretend.

He’s not scared of him. He just gets this anxious feeling of having to speak to him again. Viktor makes him nervous is all.
He’s intimidating. And dangerously pretty. And he exudes a confidence Jayce can barely wrap his head around.
Jayce cares about everything. He cares about who he is, how he looks, if anybody likes him, if he’s doing anything right.
Viktor didn’t give a shit who he was or what he had to offer. He simply had better things to do.
And it made Jayce unable to forget him. His bluntness, the way his alluring accent softened every blow.
He wanted nothing more to avoid Viktor. For his own sake.
