Summary
He reaches the last of the hill’s steeper dips, and—ah, there she is, sitting near the edge of one of the little cliffs that jut out from the downward slope of Aspiration Hill. Oh, and Typhlosion, too, lying with her long body curled around Akari like a big pillow. Akari seems relaxed, at least, and has good company, to boot. Nearby, all in one piece. Not a ghost or Zubat in sight. Good.
Well. Rei feels terribly silly, suddenly, standing there in his pajamas in the dead of night.
Or: the night sky is so very vast, and too lovely to enjoy alone.

Summary
And, sometimes, the flow and the shift bring wonderful things with their currents.
This morning, in the same way its lake is cradled in the earth, Mesprit is deep in its cavern and cradled in the wide nook of its favorite rock, softened by a bed of fallen pine needles. The cavern’s mouth is bright with the soft light of a new day, and Starly song drifts in.
And then: whispers of two joyful spirits on the breeze.
This is how Mesprit’s favorite days begin.
Or: The children that visit Lake Verity these days are a joy, and Mesprit wishes things could be this way forever.

Summary
Then, a spark of a thought: Arceus hasn’t seen Aspiration Hill yet, has it? How can that be? Well. Maybe she can nab two Chatot in one survey.
I would walk this world together with thee, it had declared above the mountain, its side of the bargain that would let Akari keep both of her homes. Show me how it appeareth in thine eyes.
And why not? Akari will walk this world for as long as she lives, now. She will get her other life back when this one is finished. But for now, she’s bound to show Arceus the Hisui she fell in love with. There are much worse bargains to strike.
Or: Akari takes a morning walk with the omniscient progenitor of everything.

Summary
She stretches, sheds the last lingering of sleep. They’ll be heading home to the village, soon, to compare notes on the Fieldlands Beautifly population with those she and Rei had observed and caught in Hoenn. But, ah—what a waste of a windy day, she thinks. She’d rather stay a little longer, watch the fields of long grass become sea waves, the thick patches of wildflowers bend and sway like dancers. And then, like fire kindling ignited by a breath, an idea.
“Let’s run down the hill,” she says, twining her arm with Rei’s.
Or: Akari and Rei find some whimsy in the wind.

Summary
It’s nice. Really nice. If Akari had Dialga on her, he’d ask if they could stretch this moment out for as long as they’d like. Keep the sun where it is, anchor its constellation to the ground, just for a bit. But, of course, Dialga would never. Time’s not something to be played with, or stopped or stretched on a whim. Only when the universe itself is at stake, and, well—some things are better kept in the past.
(Still. It’d be nice for things to stay as they are.)
Or: Rei misses Akari before she’s even gone.
