Summary
‘Death in a corpo panzer is worse than death on foot for one specific reason. To die in a Basilisk is to die connected to somebody else, to force them to experience death as well. It reminds V of watching that Maelstrom gonk die in the BD Judy showed him, feeling the very moment when the light goes out of someone’s eyes, still connected to their cooling corpse, your own heart hammering in sympathy as theirs stops forever.
“V?” Panam asks, right beside him and so far away. His head spins and aches, vision going blurry. His ears ring. “V, c’mon!”
V tries to answer her, maybe even manages to garble together a response, but he feels himself slipping, the mind shattering pain tearing along his skull. He can hear Johnny yelling, trapped in a machine like this, a corpse moldering silently beside him. “What the hell is that?” Panam shouts, as if she can hear it too.
“Johnny,” V manages to groan, before his vision narrows to pinpricks and he collapses back into his seat.’

Summary
No one needs to tell V that Johnny is an unreliable narrator. It is obvious just from the way he is that lying comes so naturally to him that even he isn't immune. However, as certain glaring inconsistencies begin to become more and more apparent, V starts to suspect there may be a little something more to the holes in his memories. Especially those around a certain Night City Legend.

Summary
For a moment, he thought he caught a glimpse of her in the passenger seat, a flash of pink hair, her legs crossed and resting on the dashboard.
“You don’t even know what you’re looking for out there, do you?” she said. He could see her reflection in the side mirror.
He blinked, and she was gone. Just a trick of the light. That’s all it ever was.

Summary
One month after V's rockerboy affliction took hold, he finds himself caring more and more about something he'd never given a second thought to: Rock 'n' Roll. Maybe it's Johnny's constant whining pushing him to start listening a little harder, or maybe it's the digital brain tumor rewriting his once immaculate music taste.
Thanks to the brief mention of Samurai Bootlegs, V and Johnny are on the hunt to find an old recording from Johnny's younger years. Though, the hunt seems more like a soap box for Johnny to yell about ideals, but it isn't like V has much of a choice these days.(Prior series reading isn't required but it would make me sooo happy)

Summary
Wash knows the reds and blues work together as a team long before he realizes why, or how, or when that even started. He knows loyalty is hard to come by, so he grudgingly respects it even as they screw up his plans over and over again.
Aka four times the reds and blues proved their loyalty, plus one time Wash proved his.
