Desperation was a bad advisor. Frustration was an even worse one. And yet, Mark was desperate and frustrated when he picked up a bad habit from college again, because it couldn’t do his doomed relationship much more harm. Everything was already falling apart, anyway.
He knew it wouldn’t fix any of his problems. But he never would have guessed it would become a stepping stone for turning his life around.

“Do all the boys you meet throw themselves to the ground for you?”
“Almost all,” Donghyuck whispers, “Would you do it for me, Mark?”

Summary
Donghyuck’s body responds to Mark’s touch with ultrahuman sensitivity, coming to life beneath Mark’s fingertips as Mark’s skilful fingers dance expertly over it, playing him like a piano. Mark knows exactly how to touch to make Donghyuck’s blood sing, how to blaze a symphony over his skin.
Mark thinks of the journey over the years to here and now, Donghyuck sitting beside him, himself but at the same time not, warm nonetheless. And maybe, all along, this warmth was all that mattered.
Or: Mark, a scientist, builds an android in the image of his ex-lover, and they fall in love. They fall in love, and Donghyuck becomes real and human.
