Summary
Crick usually found himself more taken by Temenos himself than the vague, flowery language of fictional intimacy, more lulled by the sound of his voice and the feeling of his fingers running through his hair. Having Temenos read to him was relaxing, no matter the subject.
This, though. This felt… different, a tense, curling heat licking at his insides and settling low in his core at little more than a story about a knight lusting after the man he served.
“If such a frivolous story offends you, you need only say the word; I’ll happily put it away. We can read something else.”
Crick returned to his mending, stubbornly determined not to let how much it affected him show. “It doesn't bother me. You can keep reading.”
Temenos reads aloud an erotic novel catering to Crick's specific interests, and has a little bit of fun acting out the good parts.

That tongue disappeared back behind the seam of his lips as Crick turned to him, a touch of concern already etched across his features even as Temenos pushed through that already scant distance between them, one hand settling on the curve of Crick’s thigh as he surged up to kiss him.
Crick and Temenos enjoy a mundane evening together.

Heartbeat Pendants, it read, accompanied by a simple picture of two heart shaped charms, intricate metal things with matching gems embedded in the middle, a soft glow emanating from the pair.
With too much time on his hands, Temenos takes up a new hobby. It goes as well as it could, all things considered.
