At first Kaoru thought the boy must be some bumpkin visiting from the country, to be so awe-struck and fumbling like he was. Not to mention those ridiculous green curls. But it didn’t even take a second glance to toss that theory; this kid’s clothes were way too nice for some country brat.
And even at six Kaoru had a keen eye for the expensive and valuable.
Which is why he was still in the middle of an intense inner debate whether to rob him or bail for bigger targets when Kaoru spotted the carriage about to trample the boy and his body moved on its own.
Kojiro is a prince. Kaoru is very much not.
Not surprisingly, Kojiro doesn't seem to care.

Summary
