Working with a gambler was outside of Sunday’s interests. He hated frivolity, especially when it came to a peacock showing off its feathers. All he ever knew was to be obedient: discipline, perfection and order—but most importantly, absolute dedication to his father’s cause. And so, Gopher Wood gave him an important task: keeping an eye on Aventurine.
