Without the thrill of fighting monsters they actually have to talk to each other, which needless to say, isn't going well, and with Percy realizing his sexuality, things have gotten even worse between them.

“Your hand is cold” Will observed, sipping his juice.
“Hmph” Nico buried his face in Will’s shoulder.
“You also smell like wet rocks” Will further observed.
“You smell like hand sanitizer and rubber gloves” Nico’s voice was muffled, because he still had his face pressed into Will’s shirt.
Will sighed. Nico was still hesitant about showing any affection in public, but in private he could be downright clingy. Now Will was stranded in the middle of the archery range with the Lord of Darkness stuck to his arm.Note: I just wrote whatever I wanted to for fun. There is barely any plot, no cohesiveness, but lots of sweet sweet character interactions. Which is why it's 'Just Frosting'

Summary
It really never surprised Nico when he found out Will liked rain, it made sense in an ironic sort of way. Will and Nico each always had an abundance of what the other lacked, they complimented each other nicely in that sort of way.
Will liking rain was logical, it made sense- however, Nico wasn’t so sure he could handle their kids' betrayal...
