“La Villa Del Pavor.” That was what the locals had called the house on the hill for centuries. It stood there, white walls constricted by vines that crawled up its crumbling sides, as if they were starving snakes slowly crushing their prey. It had been years since the townspeople had reported seeing anyone leave the mansion; they all kept their heads down and muttered silent prayers whilst passing the gates.
Lovino knew this. And yet, he still made his way up the rugged path. After all, what other choice did he have?

Summary
The first time Antonio laid eyes on the scruffy delinquent curled up on the side of a building — his building — he didn’t think anything of it. The kid was insufferable, vulgar even, and he had no right loitering outside the flower shop Antonio had worked so hard to open.
He knew the kid was in a bad spot, he knew that he was a foul-mouthed vagrant, he knew that he had no place to go, but Antonio had a business to protect.
Too bad this ill-tempered boy didn’t give a damn about what Antonio wanted.

This is going to be fairly light-hearted, but there are going to be darker points. Nothing gets sugar-coated here, so please tread lightly. That being said, the focus is on the developing romance and how love can bloom even in the roughest places.

“If you stare any harder, your eyes are gonna fall out,” Romano exhales a puff of smoke away from his brother’s face, out the open window. “Gesu Cristo, you’re like a lovesick teenager.”
“I’m not staring!” Romano is well aware his brother is full of shit, notices his brother’s gaze drift back to his boyfriend-fiance-whatever chopping wood to heat the pizza oven tonight for dinner. “You’re too tough on me, fratello.”
