Peter had a crush on Frank. Like a bad, bad crush on Frank to the point where he got butterflies everytime he saw the man. He knew he shouldn’t, because it was Frank Castle, the fucking Punisher himself, and he seemed like the most emotionally unavailable man in New York, but Peter still found himself daydreaming about him. And Frank made space for Peter in his life, space that he rarely shared, because he wanted Peter to be his and his alone.

Summary
Peter comes by more often now. Once or twice a week, sometimes dressed as Spider-Man and sometimes dressed as Peter, but always covered in bruises, cuts, and scrapes that Frank proposes to treat with a grunt. Peter smiles through his split lip and, licking the blood away, says he’s never felt better. And they carry on like this until Peter shows up again, and they drink whiskey, and Frank pushes Peter’s feet off his thighs only to let him put them back the very next moment.
So Frank knows what’s going to happen even before he sets down the gun he’s cleaning to go answer the door, even before he throws the door wide open and finds himself face-to-face with a Peter who isn’t bleeding but is crying. -
