Summary
At ten, Tim would have to say that his holiday experiences had boiled down to this:
There were years where he woke up and went to bed on Christmas day, and didn't have a single other human being to speak with in the hours between.
And despite the way he waits by the door every year, the closest thing he will ever get to Christmas with his parents is a picture of him speaking to them at a winter gala, posted in the news.
He’ll get better days with the Bats.
But before he crashes into the Bats lives, he gets something else.
OR
How Tim falls in love with the ‘I <3 Wine’ side of Valentine’s.

Summary
She steps forward, close enough he can smell her perfume. “Are you looking for a lover, Dick?”
He wants to run, but nipping this in the bud is a far kinder option.
“No, I’m not, sorry,” he says it gently, and it helps that it’s the truth.
OR:
A woman harasses Dick at a gala, thankfully she's not the only woman there, and Amanda Finch has seen too much of this shit in her long life to not help out.

Summary
Elenor Prachett has watched this city become more brutal, more frenzied, she’s seen it grow hopeful, and she’s nearly cut herself on its teeth.
And tonight, on a gloomy side street with a child vigilante bleeding all over her passenger seat…
God help anybody in this damned city who gets in her way.
OR
Robin's been kidnapped, Red Robin is desperate for some wheels, and Elenor is always happy to help a fellow citizen.
(And maybe she gets a bit of help back. After all, few things are as complicated as siblings.)
