Summary
Izuku died, that’s what everyone was told. For years he was mourned, everyone went to his funeral. They talked about how a boy born quirkless, had managed to get into a situation when he acquired seven quirks, and then he managed to save the world, sacrificing his quirks. And then he died, a tragic accident in which no body was left. Everyone believed it and managed to move on, everyone but Katsuki, though he never said it, he refused to believe Izuku was dead.
Across the globe, a boy with a manufactured identity was seen as no one important. Joshua Shirai, a child of Japanese immigrants, made orphan very young. All legal documents were lost. Now Joshua was working a boring 9 to 5, he didn’t want to stick out or seem to important. Unluckily for him, he was promoted one too many times, and now he has a job trip over seas, to Japan. No big issue right, Tokyo is big enough. But all the wrong people meet ‘Joshua’, and even worse, someone who could never forget his voice meets him.
